The New Face of Cardigan’s Waterside Project

 

A new project officer, Jim Evans of Newport Pembrokeshire has just been appointed as the project manager for the Teifi Estuary Environmental Management Initiative. The Teifi Project received £1.1m of Objective 1 funding to put towards its £2.5m total costs.

Mr Evan’s background is in Consultancy having gained a Mechanical Engineering Degree from Liverpool, having also worked as a project manager for many marine related schemes including the redevelopment of Dubrovnik Port, Ferry Operation in the Shetland Islands, the Wales Tourist Board assessment of Wales as a Cruise destination and a new cruise terminal study for Forth Ports.

Mr Evans, shortly to join the Teifi Estuary implementation Team commented;
“I have many years experience of dealing with projects involving numerous stakeholders with very varied aims and objectives. I have a personal interest and involvement in environmental issues, being the owner of 21 acres of ancient woodland, and look forward to the challenge of achieving an environmentally positive outcome to the development of the issues within the Teifi Estuary.”
